Alphonse Liquorie passed away April 1, 2022. Devoted father to Alise,Paul, Cristina and David, father in law to Max, Gabi and Michael. Adored “Poppi” to Sabrina, Aidan, Maggie, Vivi, Peter, Claudia, Branson and Kat.
Al was a resident of Mount Vernon for over 47 years. Born in the Bronx , he was a proud alumni of Fordham Prep and Fordham University. He was a dedicated educator working as a teacher and guidance counselor in New York City. He was an active parishioner at St. Ursula’s in Mount Vernon and Holy Family in New Rochelle where he served as a lector, Echaristic minister and RCIA mentor. “Mr. Al” loved his volunteer work at Beth El Synagogue Nursery School.
Al was a wonderful advice giver, a good neighbor, an adventurous traveler, lover of classic movies and lifelong learner. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him most especially his children and grandchildren, his brother Frank, his beloved nieces and nephews and his second family, the St. Ursula’s show group. We are happy that he is now reunited with his loving wife Joan, his sister Irene and his longtime friend Louie.
