Alfred A. Iaboni at the age of 96 passed away peacefully on November 23, 2018 in Exton, PA. Alfred was born on July 21, 1922 in Tuckahoe, NY to Cesar and Filomena. He was number 7 out of 10 children and the last surviving sibling. He was a graduate of Tuckahoe HS. Alfred was a Sergeant with the 574th Bomb Squadron during WWII serving 17 months in the European Theater of Operations stationed in France and England. He was awarded the European Theater ribbon with 3 stars, the Unit Citation and Good Conduct ribbon. He was honorably discharged on November 12, 1945. On April 15,1950 Fred married Carmella Pacchioli, a longtime City of Mt. Vernon official. They were married for 52 years. Fred is survived by his daughter Christine, son Paul and daughter-in-law Tricia. He also has four grandchildren: Alissa, Alaina (Christopher), Mark (Taylor) and David (Katie-his favorite nurse). Fred worked at Westchester Fabrics for over 40 years as a salesman. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church for over 50 years where he was an usher. He attended weekly novenas for more than 50 years and was deeply devoted to Our Lady. He was also a democratic district leader. Fred was predeceased by his sisters; Jean, Connie, Santa, Lena and Rita and his brothers; Armand, Dominick, George and Richard. Family will honor Fred’s life on Thursday November 29th from 4 – 8 pm at the funeral home. Mass of Christian Burial Friday November 30th at 10:00 am at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Mt Vernon.
