Albert A Barone

Albert A. Barone of Yonkers passed away on September 2, 2023. He was born in Lago, Cosenza, Italy on March 23, 1927 to Giacomo and Maria Carolina Barone. He is predeceased by his brothers, Frank, Ralph and Joseph and his sisters Raffelina and Amelia. He was the youngest of the family.

Albert is the beloved husband of Frances, loving father to Loraine DiMatteo, Thomas (Rosemarie), James (Regina). He was a devoted grandfather to Christopher (Amber) Barone, Nicole (Breon) O’Connor, Danielle, Jake and Gianna. He is the loving great- grandfather to Nicholas and J.T. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Albert was a hard-working contractor. He was a World War II veteran, star athlete and devoted Yankees fan. Albert loved working in his garden and was famous for his sopresata.

He was devoted to his family and always wanted the best for everyone. He was the first to reach out to help anyone and everyone. Albert was one of a kind. The family will honor Albert’s memory on Monday, September 4, 2023 from 1 to 5pm at the funeral home. Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday September 5, 2023 at St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers. Interment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
