Rosa Palmieri

Rosa Palmieri of Mt. Vernon passed away on Sept. 15, 2018. Rosa was born in Naples Italy on August 6, 1939 to Nicola & Maria Senerchia. Rosa came with her family to the United States in 1960. In 1961 she married Mario Palmieri and they settled in Mt. Vernon. Rosa worked as a School Crossing Guard at the Hamilton School for 35 years in Mt. Vernon. Rosa will always be remembered as beloved wife and mother who sacrificed her life for her family. She is survived by her loving sons, Anthony Palmieri (Miguelina), Nicholas Palmieri (Barbara), Santo Palmieri and a brother Anthony Senerchia. Also survived by 6 grandchildren. Predeceased by her husband Mario and her sister Filomena Senerchia. Family and friends will honor Rosa's life at the Yannantuono Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8pm. Mass of Christian burial will be on Wednesday at St. Peter & Paul Church at 10am. Entombment to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
