Maria Anna Gherardi

Maria Anna Gherardi of Mt Vernon passed away on January 11, 2019. Maria was born on November 5, 1925 to Ermene Gildo and Maria Persico in Sommendenna, Italy. On January 24, 1949 Maria married the late Joseph Gherardi. Maria and Joseph moved their family to the United States in 1968. Maria is survived by her children: Marisa Gherardi, Gildo Gherardi (Sandra DeBernardi), Tiziana Gherardi Verrone (Lee), Romeo Gherardi, grandchildren: Stephan (Rebecca), Nicole, Samantha, Christian, Justin, Julian, great grandchildren: Gabriel and Zachary and a brother, Mario (Savina). Maria is predeceased by her beloved husband Joseph and 10 brothers and sisters. A celebration of Maria's life will be held at the funeral home on Monday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Mt Vernon at 10am.
