On Wednesday, February 20th, 2019, Joseph J. DellaRipa passed away peacefully at his home in Mount Vernon, NY . He was born on March 2, 1923 in Sepino, Italy and arrived through Ellis Island on October 29th, 1929 with his parents, Cristino and Maria Concetta DellaRipa who are deceased.
He was married to Lucille R. Dellaripa who is deceased.
Survived by brother and sister-in-law, Dominic and Lucille T. Dellaripa,
He had a sister Mary C. Romano who is deceased.
He has two surviving children and one who passed. His daughter, Dolores Nordone who was married to Dennis Nordone who is deceased, his son, Joseph J. Dellaripa, Jr., married to Karen E. Dellaripa and son Paul Dellaripa who is deceased.
He had nine grandchildren , 8 surviving and one of which is deceased, his granddaughter,
Lucille A. Dellaripa. There are also 11 surviving great grandchildren.
Joe served in WWII in the US Army. He was a carpenter by trade, a builder by profession who built over 50 homes in Westchester county and he retired from the City of Mount Vernon, NY as the City Carpenter.
Services are at Yannantuono Funeral Home in Mount Vernon, NY .
There will be one viewing on Monday, February 25th 2019 from 4 to 8 pm and on
Tuesday, February 26th 2019 there will be a Mass at St. Peter and Paul in Mount Vernon, NY
