John P Corpora

John P. Corpora of Mount Vernon passed away on July 19, 2018.  John was born in the Bronx on November 15, 1953 to Anthony and Anne Corpora.  He was one of fourteen children.  John married JoAnn Sardinia on October 23, 1983.  John was very active in Sts. Peter & Paul Church where he served as a lector.  He also served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Joseph's Church.  John is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn; his children, Gina and Anthony; brothers, Donald (Mitzi), Edward (Cathy), James (Ana Maria), sisters, Joanne (Richard), Rosemary (Al), Eileen, Celeste, Anne (Jeff); survived by brother-in-law Richie and sisters-in-law Angie and Lisa and many nieces and nephews.  John is predeceased by his parents, Anthony and Anne Corpora, his brothers, Charles, Anthony, Denis and sisters, Ginny and Janie. As an expression of sympathy, friends and family may send contributions to JoAnn Corpora. A celebration of John's life will be held at Yannantuono Funeral Home on Sunday July 22, 2018 from 4 - 8pm.  A Funeral Mass in his honor will be held at Sts. Peter & Paul Church 10 am on Monday July 23, 2018.
