Diamond M. Green of Mount Vernon, New York, passed away on Friday, February 15, 2019 at XXX pm. She was the fourth child of Myrtle Wells and Vincent Green, born on August 2, 1948 in Kingston Jamaica BWI.
Diamond followed family tradition and chose the business world as her career path. She, while still in business school drove several friends on their lunch hour for an interview with Pepsi. Diamond was encouraged to also sit for the exam, and she did. Fifty years later, Diamond was still with Pepsi when she passed away.
Diamond had many interests, reading, traveling to the West Indies, chatting with her favorite, Aunt Gem, watching soaps and reality tv, shopping, attending family functions and taking parts in sports pools. She was also very protective of her family and friends.
Diamond is survived by one sister, Jean Hurst and one brother, George Green (Thelma Green). Two nieces, Monique Green Jones (Charles Jones) and Lauren Hurst. Two nephews Cory Green and Jonathan Hurst, and a host of cousins three generations deep. Parents, Myrtle and Vincent and sister, Barbara predeceased her.
Diamond is no longer troubled by aches and pains and for this the family is eternally grateful.
To God be the glory for the wonderful things he has done.
