Albano A Ianiri

Albano A. Ianiri “Sonny” passed away on May 9, 2018 after a long illness. Albano was born on September 6, 1929 to Angelo and Amelia (Molly) Ianiri. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Mt Vernon. He was an owner/ driver and did work for Reliable and Plaza Taxi. Albano was a great provider, good hearted and always had a smile. Most of all he enjoyed family gatherings. Albano married the love of his life Kathleen Reilly on September 20, 1958. Albano is survived by his wife Kathleen, son William “Billy”, brother Bill Ianiri (Rae), niece Suzanne Grossi (Anthony), grand niece and nephew Jenna and Anthony, nephew Billy (Dawn), grand niece and nephew Isabella and Billy III, brother John (Virginia deceased), niece Maria Cote (Paul), grand niece and nephew  Kayla, Paul and Diane Ianiri, brother in law Martin Reilly (Anita), nephew Steven (Kim) Pisano and their son Patrick, niece Linda (Bruce) Botsord and their children Grace and Noah and loving friend Barbara Yost. A special thanks to the workers at the New York State Veterans home at Montros. If you knew Sonny you would have already known he was a very warm caring happy person. Sonny would not want to be mourned but to have a celebration of his life.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the N.Y.S Veterans Home at Montrose.
