Anthony "Tony" Ciampi Obituary

Born: July 7,1952 Mount Vernon, NY

It is with great sadness that my dearest husband, Anthony (Tony) left this earth for a better place on April 3rd 2024. He was a devoted husband and step-father to my daughter, Victoria.

Tony attended Hackley School, a private preparatory school in Tarrytown. He went on  to study at Boston College with a BA in Psychology.  He furthered his education and received a Masters  in Psychology from Pace University. This was followed by his attendance at Bridgeport Law School (now Quinnipiac) one of the three top Law schools in Connecticut, where he earned his Juris Doctor.

He began his career as a bank attorney with Chemical Bank.  From there he worked at Long Island Savings Bank which later merged with Astoria Federal Savings.  As a high ranking Vice President he was in charge of contract law, employee relations where he oversaw compliance and ethical practices.

He reunited with an elementary schoolmate many years later, Louise Parodi, whom he married in 2013. They shared many interests including antiques and collecting original art. His sense of style and decorating was impeccable and many admired his flair for the eclectic.

He played the game of life so well, engaging with much enthusiasm in all that he did.  Very social, enjoying all his good friends along  with a fine cognac and Cuban cigar. Above all, an avid reader  and a Yankee fanatic who could quote statistics from 20 years ago. He had an original baseball glove signed by Jackie Robinson when he was a child but used it daily and finally wrote over the worn signature with his own pen and there went its value!  However, it shows that he believed that things should not just sit on a shelf to be admired but to be incorporated  into their daily lives and enjoyed.  Those that knew him would recognize these traits and as everyone would say: "There is no one who does not like Tony".

I will miss him dearly as my best companion. May he RIP and watch over all of us.
